23D is inspired by the virtual understanding of space. The series of nine digital collages, is process oriented to reflect the ins and outs of the possibilities of emulating a place within a space and it’s occupancy within a virtual and on a physical plane.

Drawing in Space

Drawing in space formed part of an investigation of how cultural values impact a community. When for whatever reason, a familiar community is no longer bound, one must adapt to newer social settings and learn to live and function within a new culture.To this effect, the removal of an individual from a communicative setting, as well the understanding of the process of cultural adaptation, is reflected in tackling anything using interactive modes of making art. Through these methods of removal and distortion in drawing, one can emulate the relation to the phenomenological understanding of shared cultural psychology.
