My practice revolves around the production and presentation of transitory art and experimental art forms. I locate my practice in the curious and uncharted territory that exists between drawing and sculpture, neither belonging to, nor outside of the confines of one or the other. I am interested in the state of metamorphosis, which I understand as a state of in-betweenness that has no tangible form, mass or permanence. I access this state through the notion of virtuality, a dimensional plane that is simultaneously composed of everything and nothing at all. My research investigates the process of experimentation at arriving to these transitory experiences, facilitated by and filtered through the digital medium.
The work I create is meant to incite participation with the viewer beyond a conceptual level, to relocate their understanding of the world around them; to confuse, disrupt, interact and entice a participatory role between the viewer and the work.
